About Emma
I am a passionate individual dedicated to teaching piano and music theory to all ages. I have 14 years of music education, completing all 8 practical ABRSM exams, and distinction in my Grade 5 ABRSM theory exam. Learning music theory and an instrument can be difficult, however, the skills you learn through doing so extend further than the instrument itself. My lessons will encourage students’ self-discipline, practice, and logical thinking.

For piano or theory lessons, these two are recommended to go hand in hand. I will assess the individual’s preferences, learning abilities, and attention span to deduce the appropriate lesson structure and split between music theory and practical piano. Ages from 5 and above are accepted, and will work towards ABRSM certified grades. The recommended time for a lesson is 1 hour, but with younger students with shorter attention spans, it is recommended to start with 30 minutes to deduce what would best suit the individual.

Emma is a dedicated and organised tutor, passionate about English. I was quite stuck with a lot of things I covered in class, but Emma helped explain them clearly and slowly to me and my confidence has grown so much after only a few weeks of lessons!
