About Pavin
Hi, I'm Irvin (real name: Pavin), and I am a Foundation Program Student for Design at UNSW College. I've been taking piano lessons since I was 5, and I've developed an unending passion for piano and music in general! When I finished my ABRSM Performance Grade in May '23, I made a goal to impart my knowledge for piano and music on others, to make it approachable and not so daunting. There is nothing I love more than sharing my passion with others, and I hope my students will come to enjoy music as much as I do.

I teach students according to their needs and preferred lesson style/syllabus, but I try to cover as much ground as possible in terms of understanding performance and music theory, at least from my perspective as a classically-trained musician. I currently teach students ages 6 - 12, and my teaching style adapts according to the student. I'm generally quite friendly and conversational, and I try to make sure that my lessons are as enjoyable as they can be. I try to encourage a passion for music. For students under 10 years old, lessons have a maximum length of 45 minutes. Older students can be taught anywhere from 45 to 60 minutes depending on their syllabus.
