About Ishan
As an international affairs student at the George Washington University, Washington D.C, with several years of tutoring and debate coaching experience I have a great deal of experience in helping students succeed in academic essay writing, academic research, and humanities classes such as history and english. If you need help improving your writing skills sign up!
I'm from New York City and lived there up until moving away from college. I've always enjoyed writing, the humanities (particularly history), and working with students to help make them passionate about the aforementioned subjects.

As someone with several years of tutoring and debate coaching experience with middle and high school students I tend to focus on building longterm skills with regards to the specific topic. When it comes to tutoring students in essay writing I usually focus on the following things:
. How to properly structure an essay
. How to write a strong thesis
. How to appropriately utilize evidence and analysis in their
papers
. How to be concise in writing
Students I have worked with in the past in english and history classes have seen dramatic improvements in academic performance, obtaining B and A averages by the end of the semester. Tutor high school students in academic essay writing and history/social science classes.
