The most important basis for learning are:
1) Comprehension. Ways in which people master the art of compression come in different ways depending on the type of a person. As an aspiring teacher it is important for me to understand my learners and ways in which I can draw their attention to specific details that will lead to them understanding the content.
2) Methods of teaching. As a teacher methods I use to teach can either break or make my students. As said above the important part is to know the kind of learners you have and ways they find it easy to understand. The first step to understanding is that a student should be able to analyse; ability to break down the contents of words to make sense and abstract meanings of the words or content as a whole.
Methods relating to this could include:
a) Using their imagination :Which encourages creative thinking.
b) Using colours :Which promotes mental arletness.
c) Demonstrations :It helps because real events raise interest.
d) Saying it out loud :This is proven to stimulate long term memory. I also use this method to study.
e) Motivation :This method works all the time, both on adults and children. The more our efforts are recognized, no matter how small we always strive to do better next time. It also helps in change of attitude.
f) Paying attention :Sometimes teachers focus on irrelevant areas in students which turn most of the sessions uninteresting and non-progressive. For instance a person might be taking too long to understand a phrase, as a teacher you need to identify the root of a problem that could be factors other than reading. It could be that the person does not know the context from which the question is asked or the scenario is given.
g) Being friendly :The more the teacher is friendly and welcoming the easier it is for students to relate to them and engage. The more easier it is to interact or engage the easier it is to learn.
