About Rachel

Hi, I’m Rachel an Accredited Practicing Dietitian with a passion for nutrition science, women’s health and fertility. I’m also a new mom, so life is currently fueled by my morning coffee.

University wasn’t always easy for me. I found the workload and complexity of nutrition science really challenging at times, so I understand what it feels like when a concept just isn’t clicking. With a lot of persistence (and probably a lot of chocolate), I made it through and graduated with First Class Honors. That experience is a big part of why I enjoy helping others understand nutrition. I know how valuable it is to have someone explain things in a way that actually makes sense.

As a dietitian, I spend my days translating complex science into practical, easy-to-understand information for my clients. I bring that same approach to tutoring sessions by helping students break down difficult topics and build confidence in their understanding.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, drinking vanilla iced lattes, eating chocolate, or hanging out with dogs whenever I get the chance.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Rachel, an Accredited Practising Dietitian specialising in women’s health and fertility nutrition. I’m passionate about helping students understand nutrition science in a way that actually makes sense, rather than just memorising information for exams.

My approach to tutoring focuses on breaking down complex concepts into simple, practical explanations. I like to connect theory to real-world examples so students can understand how nutrition science applies in practice. Sessions are interactive and tailored to each student’s learning style, and I encourage questions and discussion to help build confidence with the material.

Lessons typically run for around 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on what the student needs. Sessions may include reviewing lecture content, explaining challenging concepts, working through practice questions, or helping with assignment preparation.

While I am new to formal tutoring, I have extensive experience applying nutrition science through my clinical work as a dietitian. My background allows me to bring practical insight into topics such as metabolism, micronutrients, digestion, hormonal health, and fertility nutrition.

My lessons are suitable for high school students studying nutrition or biology, as well as university students completing introductory nutrition, dietetics, or health science subjects. I aim to create a supportive and relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing a deeper understanding of the material.
