About Hus
My name is Hus, a guitarist who got into playing guitar later than most people! I started my journey at 16 years old after realising just how much music had shaped my childhood. What immediately drew me to the guitar was its versatility and ability to adapt to almost any style of music. This curiosity eventually led me to the world of Acoustic Fingerstyle guitar.
What I love most about fingerstyle playing is the challenge of taking an entire song, genre, or arrangement and recreating it on a single acoustic guitar. It encourages a deeper understanding of rhythm, melody, harmony, and technique, helping you develop not only as a guitarist but as a well-rounded musician.

Are you looking to develop your guitar playing with lessons tailored specifically to your goals and ability level?
I am a professional guitarist, educator and songwriter, and while my primary focus is acoustic fingerstyle guitar, I also teach electric guitar, covering a range of techniques, styles, and practical music theory.
I currently work as the Guitar Lecturer and Course Leader at West Herts College in Watford, where I have taught for the past three years. I hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Professional Musicianship (Guitar) and have over 16 years of playing experience.
Lessons are available to students aged 16 and above and can be delivered either online or in person. I am based in Essex on Mondays and Fridays and am available for evening lessons in Watford after 5:30pm.
I continue to work professionally as a session guitarist, performing throughout the UK and Europe with a variety of artists and bands, including projects associated with Marshall Records. This allows me to bring real-world industry experience into my lessons, helping students develop practical skills that extend beyond simply learning songs.
