About Nyah
I am a friendly, enthusiastic, and patient tutor with a strong background working with children and young people. For the past four years, I have taught swimming lessons to kids, which has given me excellent skills in communication, patience, and adapting to the needs of different learners. Through this experience, I have become confident in managing groups, keeping students engaged, and creating a safe and supportive environment. In addition to my teaching experience, I am a qualified barista and a certified water safety coach, as well as a pool and beach lifeguard. These roles have helped me develop responsibility, professionalism, and a strong sense of care and attention to detail. I am approachable, kind, and committed to helping students feel confident and motivated, whether in learning new skills or building on their existing abilities. I am passionate about supporting learners of all levels and enjoy inspiring confidence while making the learning experience fun and rewarding. My combination of hands-on experience with children, professional qualifications, and positive, enthusiastic personality allows me to provide a safe, encouraging, and enjoyable environment for every student.

My teaching style is friendly, practical, and fully focused on the student. I keep things simple at the start so beginners feel comfortable and confident right away. We begin with the basics—easy chords, simple strumming patterns, and how to hold and use the guitar properly. I introduce new skills gradually and clearly so nothing feels overwhelming.
I always include songs the student enjoys, because learning music you love makes progress faster and more fun. As students improve, I add new techniques at their pace and help them build good habits without pressure.
For those who are a little more advanced, I gently introduce new challenges such as learning by ear, trying simple improvisation, or exploring different styles like rock, pop, acoustic, and blues. My goal is to make every lesson enjoyable, encouraging, and suited to each player’s needs.
