About Doga

I am an actor/director from Turkey. After graduating from acting school in New York, I started working right away as a professional actor in NYC. I had an opportunity to work both film and stage. After a while, I started working with actors, helping them to prepare for their auditions. Nowadays, I take part in projects across London, NYC, and Istanbul. I have a good experience changing my style according to the different markets and preparing actors as such. I also work as an adviser for some theatre companies; helping them find new writing, so I have a good knowledge of modern drama.

About the lesson

I am a professional actor and director, working in various countries. I have been coaching actors and preparing them for their roles/auditions for the last 5 years. Bringing my experience from acting and directing, I work with actors to stay in the moment, analysing the text well and bringing their own uniqueness to the material. My main goal is to help actors build up their own techniques when they are working on a project, they are confident of what they are bringing to their roles and they enjoy being part of the project they are working for. I also have a good knowledge of modern texts so I will help you find scenes/audition materials that are unique and appropriate so you don't have to adapt yourself to texts which are overused.

I started working with Doga some time ago when I contacted him for acting lessons. Inıtıally, I needed help with an upcoming role.
Because he also works as an actor and a director, he has a good understanding of text analysis. We worked on finding a new point of view for the my role and worked on putting these into action. I went into the rehearsals process very comfortably.
I will keep working with him for future projects.

Doga was a great tutor. He helped me to prepare for several auditions and I did book some of them.
I initially contacted him about an audition in March 2022. From the first session on, he has been very inspiring and finding new ways to get me better. He does his research and tries to find the unique approach you need for your work.
He is even available out of class hours if I need his advise and really makes you feel like he cares about your work getting better.
