About Lomond

Hi! I’m an experienced actor with a BA in Acting and over seven years of teaching experience. I’ve worked with students aged 3 to 72, helping them grow their skills and confidence in the arts.

I’m passionate about everything creative, and I’d be delighted to support you in your artistic journey. Whether it’s acting, writing, voice work, music, or performance, I’m here to help you develop your talents and achieve your goals.

About the lesson

My Teaching Method:
My approach is completely student-led, focused on your goals and aspirations. We’ll start by discussing what you’d like to achieve—whether it’s building the confidence to perform for friends and family, preparing for an audition, or developing specific skills. From there, I’ll tailor lessons to suit your needs and preferred learning style.

We’ll also consider how much time you have between lessons, ensuring you can make steady progress at a comfortable pace. Each session is designed to be practical, engaging, and empowering, so you feel confident every step of the way.

Perfect! Couldn't recommend Lomond more. As someone who was hesitant to give acting a try and didn't have much if any previous experience in performing arts due to insecurities/shyness, taking a jump and trying lessons with Lomond was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Lomond is kind, welcoming, patient and down to earth with his students, he is more than willing to give you all his knowledge of acting, not to mention the exercises/assignments he will provide you are engaging, insightful and opening towards true self-expression, as long as you're willing to put in the work, laugh and learn from mistakes, and Importantly try again.

With Lomond's lessons I've have learned how to successfully memorise lines, deliver them with the suitable character expression and pacing, how to analyse scripture line for line, effectively understand character goals, and how to properly set up professional self-tapes, from attire selection and backgrounds.

Lomond has helped massively in building my confidence not only in acting but belief in my own abilities, now going on to officially study acting on a part-time basis thanks to him. If just starting out, or needing a guiding hand, Lomond is a great choice.

I have always an interest in acting and upon retirement my husband brought me lessons with Lomond. I’ve had weekly lessons for eighteen months and have learnt a lot about acting, but also had a lot of fun. Lomond is an amazing tutor - he has a relaxed approach, but at the same time is challenging - in the nicest possible way - enabled me to step out of my comfort zone and learn new skills. I have learnt technical and practical skills. I would not only recommend for those wanting to get into acting, but also for those wanting to increase their confidence in public speaking.

Lomond has been teaching me for over a year. He is so caring and kind. He never makes you feel like you need to get something straight away and you know that its okay to ask questions. Lomond takes time to make sure you get what you want out the lessons.
