About Alina
I am currently in my first year at university, studying an actuarial science degree. This is a highly mathematical degree, which incorporates probability, statistics and pure mathematics.
During my time at secondary school, I was a physics prefect. As a physics prefect, I had to present various topics around the subject in the school magazine and to younger years in an approachable and comprehensible fashion.

I am able to provide lessons to anyone who is preparing for the 11+, GCSEs or A-Levels.
Particularly with mathematics, the key to success is understanding core principles. Therefore, before going over practice questions, I hope to consolidate the fundamental ideas behind each concept. Once this has been achieved, the student and I can work through applying these concepts to practice questions. Asking questions (no matter how silly they may seem!), is how we progress.
I must add that, being a first year student, I can also provide advice with regards to exam preparation and other related issues.

Given the current pandemic, I am only able to provide online tutoring.
As I am still a university student, working part-time, I may have to cancel lessons due to exams or unforeseen events. I shall attempt to notify you of any cancellations at least a week in advance.
