About Maisie
While I have no formal experience in tutoring, I have been encouraged by peers to pursue this path. I completed Year 12 in 2018 with a 97.00 ATAR after studying Physics, Chemistry, Maths Methods, and English Literary Studies. I begin tertiary studies at the University of Adelaide, commencing a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) in Theoretical Physics in March 2019. I often found myself helping my peers throughout my Year 11 and Year 12 studies in STEM subjects. I am good at explaining concepts in a number of different ways based on the individual's way of understanding, and can cater to many levels of understanding in order to further build the student's knowledge of the topic. I love to help my younger brothers with their school work, helping one brother ace his Year 9 maths tests and the other to understand the basic primary school concepts. I would love to help anyone to understand concepts they have been struggling with any way that I can!

I am friendly and approachable, and love to answer questions about science. My lessons are based closely around this, with an open, welcoming feeling for the student which makes them feel comfortable enough to ask any questions they may withhold from their teachers. I would make lesson plans based around what the student is learning in school so as to remain consistent with school work, but also include any topics which the student may not have been able to grasp in previous school years which are fundamental in their future learning.
