• Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

  My first experience with a computer was in Year 7 when I entered a comic book competition. I drew it by hand and then learned Adobe Illustrator to digitise and refine it. I got it printed and ended up winning the competition, which ignited my passion for digital art and design.

• What is the technological evolution that has marked you most, and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

  The biggest evolution for me has been the increased computing power of modern machines, allowing the creation of larger and more complex designs. Looking ahead, I believe AI and machine learning will be the turning point in design, automating tasks and even assisting with the creative process.

• Explain your expertise, your interest in it, and its importance in the computer world.

  I specialise in using technology to bring creative ideas to life—whether through graphic design, animation, or multimedia. This fusion of creativity and technology is essential for crafting user-friendly and visually engaging experiences in today’s digital world.

• Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you, or do you have other role models?

  While I admire tech visionaries, I find more inspiration in nature. The colours, textures, and patterns in the natural world always spark fresh ideas for my designs, reminding me that creativity is all around us.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  A key lesson I learned at school was to never stop creating. Even when projects didn’t turn out as expected, pushing through and experimenting helped me improve and develop as a designer.

• What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

  I’d say to start small and experiment. Mistakes are part of the learning process, and you’ll learn just as much from them as you do from successes. The more you practice, the easier it becomes.

• What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?

  I’m passionate about football, DIY projects, and spending time with my family. These activities help me stay balanced and inspire my creativity.

• What makes you a Superprof in IT?

  I enjoy helping students build their confidence and skills in IT. Watching them grow from beginners to capable creators is what truly motivates me as a teacher.
