Hello! My name is Emily Dodd and I am studying Advanced Humanities at UQ. I graduated from Brisbane State High School in 2016. I am particularly interested in tutoring high school students who may be finding English or the Humanities challenging and need a helping hand. I am passionate about English and the Humanities and believe that this translates when I am teaching and tutoring through being interested, patient and engaged.
I have tutored in Grade 10, 11 and 12 English, Philosophy and Modern History. My students not only improved their grades but discovered a whole new perspective and interest in the Humanities and English. They developed abilities to consider other points of view and this has enabled them to change their perspective on education as a whole.
