About Arthur
Good code is written to be read by humans rather than machines. Watching a student refactor a messy script into something elegant reminds me why I left the trading floor. My BSc and BEcon background informs how I explain system architecture to advanced learners.

Graduating with a BSc and BEcon from the University of Melbourne provided the foundation for my 13 years working at a Sydney fintech firm. Sitting in a cubicle writing high performance Java code for 13 years taught me that clarity beats cleverness. I have taught 450 students over 12 years of experience. My technical toolkit includes Java, JavaScript, and complex data structures.
