About Ivy
I am a Violin tutor with more than 10 years of teaching experience and have successfully taught over 730 students. My passion is helping learners become confident musicians while developing technical excellence, artistic expression, and musical understanding.
Over the years, I have worked with beginners, intermediate learners, advanced performers, examination candidates, and orchestra participants. This experience allows me to adapt lessons effectively to different learning styles and goals.
I believe music education should inspire creativity while building discipline and confidence. Through personalized instruction and supportive mentoring, I help students achieve meaningful progress while enjoying the learning process.
Many learners have successfully prepared for examinations, performances, competitions, and advanced studies through my guidance. Their achievements continue to motivate my dedication to music education.
My goal is to help every student become a skilled and expressive violinist while developing a lifelong appreciation for music.

My Violin lessons are designed to help students develop technical accuracy, musical confidence, artistic expression, and performance readiness through a structured and progressive teaching approach. I teach posture, bow control, intonation, finger placement, rhythm development, tone production, sight reading, ear training, music theory, and performance preparation.
Students begin by developing strong foundations in posture, bowing technique, rhythmic accuracy, listening skills, and intonation. These essential skills support long-term growth and allow learners to progress confidently toward advanced musical challenges.
As students advance, lessons incorporate vibrato, shifting, advanced bowing techniques, expressive phrasing, interpretation, recital preparation, ensemble performance, and advanced repertoire development. Technical studies and musical pieces are carefully balanced to support complete artistic growth.
I encourage students to understand the emotional and expressive side of music while maintaining strong technical standards. Lessons focus on helping learners communicate through music while building confidence and discipline.
