About Hongyu

I use a fun and educational approach so that students learn through play and are motivated to learn. We also use an individualised teaching approach, adapting the pace of teaching to different students and designing a learning style to suit each child.
A lesson is typically around 40 minutes. The time can, of course, be flexibly adjusted according to the learner's requirements.
I hold a Chinese high school language teaching certificate and a Level 1B certificate in Mandarin. I majored in Chinese Language and Literature during university, and after graduation, I worked in a private high school as a language teacher and calligraphy teacher. I am now a postgraduate student in Education at the University of Southampton.
My courses are mainly for audiences interested in the Chinese language and culture. The IBDP (Chinese) course is also taught. No matter how old you are, I am ready to help you if you love learning!
