About Abhigyan
Music is a way of expression, and It takes us to our innermost self and makes us discover who we truly are. Being an ALL INDIA RADIO graded Vocalist, having participated in many reality shows and a musician with an experience of more than 10 years, I want to help YOU feel this by yourself through developing your musical potential and understanding what lies beneath. Born in a musical family and getting trained under many Gurus in Indian Classical and Bollywood, I have understood that its not 'WHAT TECHNIQUE' but 'HOW WE USE THE TECHNIQUE' that really matters. Hence I'll be sharing with you the right technique and their correct usage to strengthen the voice; methods of RIYAZ and PRACTICE; Understanding RAAG-SANGIT and other genres of Indian Music like FOLK, THUMRIS, GHAZALS etc; focusing on the traditional methods verses contemporary styles (FILM SINGING); training for performances and many more... I teach in the traditional style which comprises of developing spontaneity in students so that they can improvise on any given melody or raags etc.. It will consist of learning and understanding the format of raags, understanding the musical form, and developing a repertoire. I give 4 lessons in a month each lasting for 1 and half hours and one practice session depending on the singing ability of the student. The most important objective is to make students find their own unique sound and to be able to express naturally through singing. This course is designed especially for school going children from 7 standard onwards, college students and also adults.
