About Marty
I am a communication specialist with experience in teaching Italian to Foreigners in Rome. I studied Communication at the Faculty of Language and Italian Culture in Perugia (IT) so I've always been immersed in other cultures as well. Studying Communication also helped me to understand the importance of tailoring my communication to the audience.

I use a practice approach. When I was at school my teachers started from the theory (e.g. grammar rules) to get to the practice. I truly believe in the opposite approach: to start from real situations where the language is used first and to get to the grammar rules as a consequence.

Perfect! Martina is an excellent teacher and I highly recommend her Italian cooking lessons. She is enthusiastic, positive and always smiling. In a nutshell, Martina has given me confidence in the kitchen to prepare a wide variety of recipes from scratch including taralli calabresi, gnocchi di patate, caponata, parmigiana ... the list goes on!

Fantastic tutor. Very knowledgeable on the subject of Italian language and is tailoring her lessons to suit my interests in travel, culture and cuisine!
