About Amanda
My name is Amanda Hovey, and I've been teaching English for over 10 years. I hold degrees in English literature and education, and I've taught in classrooms and as a private tutor for the last 8 years. I've worked with students of all levels — from struggling readers to honors students preparing for college. I also help English language learners improve their grammar and writing fluency. My students trust me because I'm patient, clear, and I take time to understand their challenges and goals. Hi, I'm Amanda Hovey. I've tutored English for 8 years, and my focus is on helping students become confident, clear writers and thoughtful readers. I work with students of all ages — from middle schoolers struggling with essays to college students working on research papers and literature analysis.
