About Torres
Hi I'm Torres, I'm an 18-year-old currently studying a Bachelor of Psychology at Monash University, and have played the piano since I was just 5 years old. Having completed an ARSM in the ABRSM syllabus in Hong Kong, before moving to Melbourne in 2020 and completing an AMusA in AMEB, I'm now doing LmusA. I've learned firsthand the challenges that all pianists face in the journey of their musical development. That's why I want to make sure my students can tackle learning both enjoyably and effectively! I also hold a Working with Children check.

- I accept students around beginner level to grade 4-5.
- Lessons can range from 30-45-60 minutes (younger kids with less patience may opt for shorter lessons)
- I can use personalised exercises to focus on building basics such as hand positioning/technique, fundamental rhythms, and note reading
- I can also give advice on song interpretation and help more intermediate students polish and play their songs in a more effective manner.
- Perfect for students of all ages who are interested in piano
- Lessons can be built around whatever the student wants, whether aiming for their graded exam, or just playing songs for fun. I believe the key to an effective lesson is firstly being interested in what you're learning first!
