About Nic
I am a year twelve student who has been studying music for over a decade. Through the Australian Music Examinations Board I have been credited with honours in Theory of Music for grade 4 and a high distinction in Practise of Music for Alto Saxophone grade 8. My background specialised in performance and ensemble work achieving first place at the ‘Somerville Saxophone and Clarinet Competition’ and first place at the Winike Family Bursary’.

My teaching method for students with no experience focuses primarily on establishing strong rudiments including instrument maintenance and care, technical ability, tone control, ensemble balance and performance techniques. For learned students I will appraise their current ability and decide if they are suited for an exam syllabus or require further work on technical or expressive qualities.
