Both my daughters absolutely love playing the piano. They started playing a bit during lockdown but didn't have a teacher. I found Ed online and enrolled them for lessons. They've been excelling so fast from a beginner level. I've seen them read sheet music by themselves and play it on the piano, tap all sorts of rhythms during car rides to and from school, and hum along with songs that come on the radio. Their musical abilities improved further than I imagined in 6 months of lessons. We've even been confident enough to begin preparing for AMEB exams. My 8 year old daughter has been taking lessons with Ed since the start of 2022. Ed has always been patient and encouraging about learning new things at the piano, while also keeping my daughter accountable for her practice and effort. This has been a great fit for my daughter since she can be a bit quick tempered and distractable. However, she's improved immensely over the lessons and has grown fond of tackling piano pieces.

My son started his piano journey with Ed back at the start of 2023. Ed is very serious when it comes to teaching piano and getting results. But he's also very empathetic about my son's skill level and experience, so he speaks very supportively. I find that my son is pushed to excel without being discouraged by too much pressure. My son is enjoying piano lessons a lot and he's improved his overall ability to read and understand music. I'm excited to see how far he'll go.

My daughter is currently working through AMEB grade 1. 7 months ago, her previous teacher moved away so I found Ed through Superprof to help her through grade 1. Ed was very clear with the plan and requirements for getting my daughter through the exam. He was strict about how much my daughter must practice, and also very passionate about getting the technique right during lessons. I find that Ed is direct enough to push my daughter to practice her hardest, while also being very supportive and sensitive about not pushing too hard and becoming discouraging. Now my daughter is fully prepared for the exam and is already looking for other pieces to play, I'm very happy with her progress so far.
