About Jackie
I have a passion for the Spanish language and culture and a genuine love of teaching, as evidenced by my career of over 30 years in the classroom. I regularly visit Spain, have many Spanish friends and enjoy watching Spanish films and reading Spanish novels. This has ensured that I have maintained the level of bilingual fluency I developed whilst living and working in Spain before I trained as a teacher.

As a teacher with over 30 years of experience in the classroom teaching Spanish to GCSE and A level, I have built up a vast bank of resources to deliver all aspects of the syllabus for both. I use a variety of teaching methodologies, and plan fun and engaging lessons which include; aural and transactional language tasks to develop excellent comprehension skills and spoken fluency, grammar to develop written accuracy, and quizzes and games to help broaden and consolidate vocabulary retention. My approach enables students to develop the confidence to communicate both orally and in written Spanish, whilst also providing them with the necessary skills and techniques required to achieve exam success.
