About Joao
I have a PhD plus 15 years work experience in the field of ML, AI (Computer Vision, NLP, Deep Learning, LLMs). I also worked in Facebook as maintainer of PyTorch Vision. I have several years of experience as tutor (maths and programming). What really motivates me is seeing the progress of the students and trying to engage them in the subjects I really love. I am originally from Portugal and have been living in the UK for 14 years now. I came originally to do my PhD and ended up staying and working here.

- Before the first session I like to have a 15 to 30 minutes call to understand your goals and then I spend some time to prepare the tutoring sessions tailored for your needs (this is free of charge) - The session itself is 1 hour long - I can tutor from GCSEs to Masters level and each session will be tailored to your age/ability
