About Anne
In a lifetime of experience with WA Opera, Concert performances, Musical theater and Cabaret, Anne has contributed to many major productions as well as presenting, in Festivals and venues around Perth, her own French Cabaret. 'Illusions' is an award-winning, one-woman show she wrote and produced. This is a more intimate theater, blending her classical training with her passion for storytelling, Anne's singing teaching philosophy and technical skill are born out of years of study in breaking down the vocal elements into easy-to-understand and easy-to-reproduce concepts where nothing is left to the vagaries of interpretation and physical idiosyncrasies. "Singing is an organic, intensely individual and personal journey. When working with the laws of physics within your body, driven by your creative imagination, music is made - and it's all YOU!"

Anne Millar is a dynamic and highly respected figure in the world of vocal performance and teaching. In addition to her WA opera career of 35 years, Cabaret, Concert experience, her teaching studio, Vocal Excellence, provides personalized vocal and breath technique to students of all ages and levels. Anne's approach is rooted in providing clarity and understanding to all elements of vocal production, interpretation, and confidence-building, with a focus on classical, musical theater, and jazz styles. Private 1 hour lessons and 2 hour small Group Classes available.
