About Emma
I am a first year Arts-Law student at ANU, majoring in Italian and Psychology. I used to struggle greatly with maths at school, until I found a teacher who helped me love the subject and achieve a band 6 in Standard Maths in the HSC. Her passion for teaching has inspired me to help others and so, for the last two years I have been tutoring primary school kids and my peers in Maths. Now I tutor maths part-time for Big Improvements Tutoring in Canberra

When I teach I mediate an environment of calm and positivity. I create confident learners through positive reinforcement and clear, kind instructions. I very much understand the panic Maths can generate, having long ago struggled with the subject myself, but I am there to calm my students and remind them of their capabilities.
