About Alannah
I studied extension maths and advanced maths in high school in NSW and got two band five in both. I have tutored a number of young high school students for a few weeks as part of a school organised volunteer program. I also have a younger sister that I have tutored in maths who did very well in her maths test with my assistance. I have had a job for almost a year where I teach and converse with Chinese children in english, teaching them new english words and sentence structures, which has made me patient and encouraging.

I am a very patient and flexible teacher. When a student doesn't understand my first explanation I am happy to explain it another way. I can easily cater to the students' needs and teach what they struggle with or what is coming up in their next test. If the student requires kindness or pressure, if the student wants a flexible or rigid structure, I can adjust to the way they like to be taught. I believe students know what they need and like and good tutors tailor their approach to their students.
