About Ilya
I am a fifth-year PhD student at Cornell’s applied math program. I have many years of teaching experience at the college and high school level. I have tutored students with great success in mathematics and physics. Students often go from struggling with the material to mastery of the subject. I specialize in tutoring linear algebra and calculus.

I specialize in tutoring advanced high school and introductory college math classes. I tailor my lessons to the needs of each student by finding the areas in which they struggle most and then improving fundamental knowledge. I encourage active student participation during my sessions. I believe in asking the student questions to determine the extent to which they really understand something.
