I'm a current student studying industrial and applied mathematics, looking to teach younger individuals looking to find love for the mathematical arts.
The lessons will be primarily that of building upon what the student already knows so as to build a better structure for future endeavors. The philosophy behind the lesson structures is to work with the student to develop their ability to learn how to learn mathematics on their own so that they can continue pursuing mathematics on their own.
My experience thus far in teaching has not been that of mathematics but rather of other skills:
The first teaching experienced I gained is that of working with younger individuals to develop their understanding and love for outdoors activities such as orienteering and looking after the environment.
My other experience in a teaching roll was that of developing young students literacy and reading skills this was in a one to one style of environment so that you could understand which areas they were personally struggling with.
If students wish to work together it would be at a rate of $25 for a group of 3, If students wants me to travel further than 1km then they'll have to cover bus fares.
I've completed several years of volunteering with my high school based volunteer group and have pursued other volunteering opportunities following high school these ranged from teaching about mapping all the way to literacy skills.
I've also completed units such as 3A and 3B mathematics in high school, and in university I've so far achieved high results for units such as calculus and statistical data analysis, the results being that of over 70% for both.
