About Zuhayr
I hold a BSc in Economics with Arabic from UCL. I spent 10 years working in the FinTech industry, where I managed a support team, before deciding to pursue my passion for teaching Arabic full time. This background helps me communicate clearly, stay organised and understand the needs of busy professionals and students. Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing football and continuously studying Islamic and Qur’anic sciences to deepen my own Arabic and bring fresh insights to my lessons.

I teach Arabic to learners of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced students, using engaging, interactive activities to build speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills along with practical grammatical knowledge. My lessons typically last 60 minutes and are tailored to each student’s goals and pace. I have over 6 years of experience teaching at an Arabic school and currently work as a senior Arabic teacher, supporting both children and adults in their language and Qur’an studies

Zuhayr is one of the best teachers I have had for Arabic. With his patience, charisma and superb organisation he has helped me bring my Arabic from basics to almost fluent conversations. He is great with students of all ages as I have been a student in both larger classes and 1-1. A knowledgeable, enthusiastic and dedicated teacher.
