About Rohan
I hold an MSc in Urban Architectural Design and have spent 8 years helping students develop confidence in architectural thinking and creative expression. My interest in architecture started with a fascination for cities, public spaces, and the way design influences people's experiences. Over time, this curiosity grew into a passion for education and mentoring aspiring designers.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have worked with learners preparing for academic programmes, portfolio submissions, and personal creative development. I believe architecture education should encourage exploration while providing clear guidance and structure. My lessons focus on helping students strengthen both their technical skills and their ability to communicate ideas effectively.
Outside teaching, I enjoy studying urban development, sustainable design practices, and architectural history. These interests help me bring broader perspectives into lessons and connect design concepts with real-world challenges. Supporting students as they discover their creative voice and build confidence in their abilities remains one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work.

Architecture is more than designing buildings. It is about understanding how people interact with spaces and how thoughtful design can improve everyday life. In my lessons, students explore architectural concepts through observation, creativity, and structured analysis. We discuss spatial planning, environmental awareness, design development, visual storytelling, and the relationship between form and function. I encourage learners to think beyond aesthetics and consider how architecture shapes communities, experiences, and human behaviour.
Each lesson is tailored to the learner’s goals and level of experience. Beginners focus on sketching, design fundamentals, composition, and architectural observation. Intermediate learners develop stronger presentation skills, conceptual thinking, and project organisation. Advanced students refine portfolios, strengthen design narratives, and explore complex architectural challenges. Through practical exercises and constructive discussions, students gradually build confidence in expressing their ideas.
My teaching approach balances creativity with critical thinking. I want students to understand that great design comes from curiosity, analysis, and continuous improvement. By developing both technical and creative abilities, learners become more capable of creating meaningful architectural solutions while building a strong foundation for future academic or professional growth.
