About Riya
As an architecture tutor with a passion for sustainable design, urban planning, and architectural history, I bring 4 years of hands-on experience to my teaching approach. My journey in architecture has deepened my understanding of how thoughtful design can shape communities and environments. Through tailored university lessons, I aim to empower students with practical skills and theoretical insights that go beyond textbooks.
Outside of architecture, I indulge in hobbies that complement my creative mindset. Hiking provides me with a fresh perspective on spatial relationships and natural forms, which often inspire my design concepts. Reading is a constant pursuit, where I explore architectural theories, historical influences, and contemporary trends to enrich my teaching and personal projects. Additionally, I find solace in painting, where I experiment with colors and textures, drawing parallels to the artistic elements embedded in architectural design.
Combining my professional expertise with these diverse interests, I strive to cultivate a learning environment that nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation for the art and science of architecture. Whether guiding students through complex projects or preparing them for exams, I am committed to fostering a holistic understanding that prepares them for success in their architectural careers.

As an architecture tutor with 4 years of experience, my focus lies in imparting practical knowledge and fostering a deep understanding of sustainable design, urban planning, and architectural history. I approach lessons with a blend of theoretical insights and hands-on application, ensuring students grasp both the principles and the real-world implications of architectural concepts. From guiding through complex projects to preparing for exams, I emphasize critical thinking and creativity, preparing students to tackle challenges in the dynamic field of architecture.
Beyond the classroom, I engage in hobbies that enrich my teaching perspective. Hiking offers me moments of reflection amidst natural landscapes, inspiring sustainable design principles rooted in environmental harmony. Reading architectural literature and historical texts fuels my passion for understanding how past influences shape contemporary urban environments. Additionally, sketching and model-making allow me to explore spatial relationships and design elements, integrating artistry with technical expertise.
Through personalized instruction and a holistic approach to learning, I am committed to equipping students with the skills and insights necessary to excel in their architectural studies and future careers. My goal is to inspire a lifelong curiosity for architecture and empower students to make meaningful contributions to the built environment.
