About Selin
My journey into architecture began with a fascination for how spaces influence human experience and emotion. This passion led me to complete an M.Arch in Architectural Studies, where I explored design theory, spatial analysis, and sustainable thinking. Over 11 years of teaching, I have helped students transform uncertainty into confident creative expression.
I approach teaching with patience, openness, and attentiveness. I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind design decisions while encouraging them to develop their own creative voice. Each learner receives personalized guidance that supports growth and confidence.
Outside teaching, I stay connected to architecture through sketching, research, and studying contemporary design practices. Teaching architecture is meaningful to me because I witness students discover their creative potential and learn to express ideas with clarity and purpose. Supporting that journey remains deeply fulfilling.

Architecture becomes inspiring when students learn how ideas transform into meaningful spaces. My lessons focus on guiding learners through design thinking, spatial logic, and visual communication in a structured yet creative environment. I introduce concepts such as form development, proportion, circulation, materiality, and context through sketches, diagrams, and real-world examples. Students are encouraged to explore ideas freely while learning how to organize and refine them into coherent designs.
Lesson structure evolves with the learner’s experience. Beginners focus on basic sketching, spatial awareness, and understanding design intent. Intermediate learners work on layout development, scale relationships, and conceptual clarity. Advanced students refine project narratives, presentation quality, and portfolio organization. Feedback is thoughtful, detailed, and aimed at helping students grow creatively and technically without pressure.
Architecture lessons support both intellectual and emotional growth. Students learn to observe spaces more thoughtfully, express ideas visually, and gain confidence in their creative decisions. My goal is to help learners develop a strong design identity while building disciplined habits that support long-term success in architecture.
