About Clay
I am an Architecture tutor with 10 years of experience, holding a B.Arch in Architecture and an M.Arch in Sustainable Urban Planning. My teaching philosophy focuses on merging creativity with technical skill to produce confident, capable designers. I aim to provide a supportive environment where students can explore innovative solutions while mastering practical design principles.
My lessons combine conceptual discussion, hands-on exercises, and real-world examples. Beginners gain fundamental drawing and visualization skills, intermediate learners refine modeling, detailing, and spatial reasoning, while advanced students focus on urban design, sustainability, and portfolio development. I emphasize adaptive teaching, constructive feedback, and motivation tailored to each learner.
Outside the classroom, I engage with architectural research, sustainability studies, and design innovation. Incorporating these into lessons keeps learning relevant, inspiring, and practical. Architecture becomes inspiring when students learn to combine creativity with structural and functional understanding. I guide learners through design principles, spatial reasoning, material selection, sustainability, and professional presentation techniques. Lessons include hands-on sketching, 3D modeling, conceptual development, and project critique, allowing students to explore design ideas while developing clarity and precision. Each session encourages experimentation, analytical thinking, and expressive confidence.
Beginners develop core skills such as sketching, proportion, composition, and conceptual understanding. Intermediate learners explore advanced modeling, spatial analysis, architectural detailing, and project conceptualization. Advanced students engage with urban planning projects, portfolio creation, sustainable solutions, and advanced visualization techniques. Every lesson is customized to the learner’s skill level, fostering creativity, technical knowledge, and design confidence.
Architecture lessons strengthen both creative and analytical abilities. I provide structured feedback, individualized guidance, and encouragement to help learners develop a distinct design perspective. The goal is to nurture creativity, critical thinking, and technical skills, enabling students to produce designs that are innovative, practical, and aesthetically compelling while developing a strong architectural identity.
