About Leela
My passion for architecture began with a fascination for urban spaces, structures, and their impact on people’s lives, which led me to pursue a B.Arch and an M.Arch in Sustainable Architecture. Over 9 years of teaching, I have guided students through conceptual exploration, skill development, and portfolio creation, helping them build confidence and creative expression. My approach emphasizes structured guidance, practical exercises, and mentorship to ensure students reach their full potential. I focus on adapting lessons to individual learning styles, blending visual demonstrations, hands-on projects, and theoretical discussions. Encouraging independent thinking, problem-solving, and experimentation is central to my teaching philosophy. Patience, constructive feedback, and personalized support help students progress steadily. Architecture becomes an engaging and inspiring discipline when students see how conceptual ideas transform into functional, aesthetically pleasing, and sustainable spaces. My lessons focus on design principles, spatial reasoning, architectural visualization, material understanding, and environmental considerations. I integrate hands-on sketching, model-making, digital drafting, and conceptual discussions to ensure students develop both creativity and technical precision. Each session encourages exploration, experimentation, and iterative improvement, providing a structured yet flexible learning environment where students feel supported.
Beginners start with foundational skills such as proportion, perspective drawing, and basic conceptualization techniques. Intermediate learners explore advanced drawing methods, 3D modeling, design problem-solving, and material applications. Advanced learners focus on complex projects, portfolio preparation, architectural presentation, and sustainable design solutions. Lessons are designed to combine theory with practical exercises, helping students express ideas confidently while understanding underlying architectural principles.
Studying architecture strengthens creative thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
