About Octavio
Teaching French for 11 years has taught me that the hardest hurdle is rarely the grammar but the fear of sounding incorrect. While I hold a Master of Arts in Hispanic and French Studies from King's College London, my real expertise comes from 10 years of helping students navigate the complexities of liaison and nasal sounds. I focus on developing everyday phrases for beginners, exam preparation for DELF and DALF, and providing necessary cultural context to make the language feel alive.
My work consistently bridges the gap between academic writing skills and the nuance required for elite interview preparation. Can you imagine how different your confidence will be once you master role play and dialogue practice, verb conjugation, and accurate accent and intonation?

Does the prospect of a structured French hour feel like a chore or an opportunity to sharpen your mind? These sessions are designed to move beyond textbooks by focusing on the precise mechanics of the language in real time.
We prioritise active listening to train your ear for subtle shifts in tone while we dissect complex grammar structures together. You will receive immediate feedback on your pronunciation during intensive role play drills that mirror actual exam conditions.
This approach ensures that you are constantly refining your ability to express sophisticated ideas with natural flow and clarity. We evaluate your written output against the rigid standards required by UK exam boards to ensure total preparedness. By integrating cultural context into every exercise, we make sure the language becomes a functional tool for your future success. Does this method of direct, intensive language work sound like the challenge you currently need?
