About Amira
While in college I needed a way to support myself that would not infringe much on my school work. I decided to take up tutoring, teaching fellow classmates tactics or skills to tackle things easier. I began tutoring for three kids in college while I was a junior in college myself. Helping those three with every subject at hand, one was a second-year student who was struggling in math, history, and English, we sat together and made a game plan as to how we were going to tackle the work, strategies, as well as a desired end grade. Our goal grade in his history class was set to 75%, we began with a 59% starting tutoring halfway into the first semester. By the end of the semester we had figured out a way to conquer the issues and difficulties and managed to end the class with an 83%. Being able to help someone go from helpless and giving up to seeing them so proud of themselves and their work is why I continued to pursue helping students. I know what it feels like to be in your shoes and I want to help make things easier. Over the last three years I have worked with over twenty students ranging from 6th grade to graduate students, never once have I had a failing student and I intend to keep it that way. ***** References are available to contact privately if interested!

As a student, I always strived to find the easiest ways to do and understand my work at hand. Sometimes teachers can teach methods that are far more complex than needed, which can overcrowd one's brain making the assignment at hand much more intimidating than it needs to be.
