I am an experienced Mathematics tutor working in and around London. I have extensive teaching experience at all levels, am patient, and a good communicator. I may be able to travel further than listed, so please do get in touch wherever you are! - Which subject(s) do you teach? Mathematics - Tell me about your qualifications. PhD in Mathematics, University of Sheffield 2011 MMath Mathematics, University of Bath 2007, First Class Honours - How much do you charge? I charge between £40-60 per hour depending on the level, plus up to £5 for travel. Discounts for lengthy sessions as well as for long term arrangements can be discussed. - Where do you teach? I normally teach at the student's home, or a mutually convenient location such as a library. I am based near Wallington in South London, and am happy to travel anywhere in the Greater London area, along with nearby suburbs. Students are also welcome to come to my house if they prefer. - When are you available? I am normally available 7 days a week, and am also flexible on the time of day. - Which ages and levels do you teach? I tutor at all levels from KS3 and above. I specialise in working with A level and university students. - Describe your arrangements for online tutoring. I am happy to tutor online, and work extensively like this. I have a graphic tablet and use an online whiteboard to show fully detailed working - Do you have a personal message for students? I have been conducting university tutorials, as well as helping students privately, for the past 7 years. I am passionate about teaching and helping young people. I focus on helping students with their basic understanding and concepts, using clear explanations with lots of examples. Rather than provide all the answers, I encourage students to think for themselves and try and solve problems independently. Different students have different needs, and I've always tried to listen to my students and understand what works best for them.
