About Dyuti
I am a graduate in Visual Communication Design from Srishti School of Art, Bangalore from 2009 and have 15+ years of experience working as a communication designer. I wrote and self-published my own experimental graphic novel in 2009, had my work exhibited at prominent galleries of the country such as Galerie Mirchandani+Steinruecke of Bombay, worked as the illustrator and graphic designer for Down to Earth magazine briefly, was a fellow with Sarai CSDS in Delhi, been published as an illustrator in over 20 books with publication houses such as The Aleph Book Company and HarperCollins, lectured at prominent universities of the country such as the Hyderabad University and completed a summer residency in illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York. I have written more than 15 short educational graphic novels since, and continue to write more. I thereafter completed my M.A. in 'Design' from the University for the Creative Arts, London. In academics, I started with the Visual Communication Design department at Chitkara University in Chandigarh, taught at WUD, Sonipat and on a contract at UID, Sohna. I was then Assistant Professor full-time and the HOD of the Visual Communication Design Department at ARCH College of Design and Business for a year. I was thereafter back in Delhi, teaching as faculty of Communication Design Department at JD Institute of Fashion Technology and thereafter briefly at SASI Creative Institute of Design as the course coordinator of Visual Communication Design. I am now trying to find a better fitment in academics for the long term. Meanwhile, I also completed a certificate course in Design Thinking and Innovation from IIT Delhi.
