About Emily
I am a UX Designer with a strong background in art, design, and visual communication, alongside experience tutoring students at secondary level. I’m confident supporting coursework-based subjects and helping students understand assessment objectives, marking criteria, and portfolio requirements. I also have experience working one-to-one with students, adapting lessons to different learning styles, and building confidence in creative subjects. I have also worked as a freelance wedding stationery designer for 5 years now.

My lessons are highly practical, structured, and personalised. I adapt each session to the student’s level, interests, and goals — whether that’s improving technical skills, building confidence, or meeting exam criteria. I focus on: Developing strong observational and drawing skills Understanding composition, colour, and media Guided artist research and contextual studies Improving sketchbook organisation and presentation Planning and refining final outcomes. Each lesson is tailored to the student, whatever your needs are I will strive to help. Teaching students how to think and work like artists, not just copy techniques I give clear demonstrations, step-by-step guidance, and constructive feedback throughout each lesson. Students also receive ongoing comments and resources to support independent work between sessions.
