About Lena
Hi, I'm Lena! I earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Education (B.S.) from the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in programming, software engineering, AI fundamentals, and real-time doubt support for young coders.
Five years teaching. Over 2,300 hours in online one-on-one coding sessions — every one delivered virtually. My entirely online background means I have genuine expertise in screen-sharing sessions, collaborative coding platforms, and digital tools that make coding feel hands-on and genuinely exciting through a screen.
The between-session doubt support I offer has changed outcomes for so many students in ways that regular scheduled lessons alone simply could not. A student working on a project at home hitting a wall at 10pm who gets a clear response within the hour does not give up on that project. They fix the problem, learn something real in context, and arrive at the next session with momentum rather than frustration. That difference compounds enormously over months.

Hey! I teach online one-on-one live coding lessons for K-12 students, high school, college first-year, and bachelor's first-year students.
My lessons cover Scratch for younger learners, Python, AI and Machine Learning Basics, JavaScript, Java, SQL, HTML and CSS, C++, Algorithms, Software Development, Game Development, App Creation, Portfolio Building, Debugging, and Cybersecurity Awareness.
Before every session message me with exactly what you want to build or learn — and every session is constructed completely around that vision.
Something coding students need more than anything and almost never get — a teacher who is genuinely available when doubts arise during actual practice. Coding confusion does not schedule itself around lesson times. It happens at midnight when a bug appears that makes no sense. It happens during homework when a concept from our session suddenly stops working in a different context. I stay available between sessions for these moments. Students send me their confusion and I respond with a clear targeted explanation. That real-time support during actual practice is the difference between a student who gives up on a problem and a student who pushes through and genuinely learns from it.
Every session also ends with dedicated open doubt time — ten minutes where students can ask anything about code they have been confused about, from today's lesson or anywhere else entirely.
