I'm a Mechatronics engineering student at the University of Sydney and am passionate about robotics and tutoring.
I love to see the satisfaction gained in students when they learn to conquer problems and embrace new challenges.
I'd prefer to tutor students undertaking their HSC in years 11 and 12 and help them to deeply understand their syllabus to allow them any opportunity come the time they apply for university.
My main focus when tutoring is on helping the students to learn themselves so that that are more equipped to deal with any new problem rather than just memorise a few answers.
I'm passionate about tutoring and have tutored a number of my friends and family, my younger sister who I tutored is now starting her Biomedical engineering degree.
It's enjoyable for me to see the students change their attitudes towards the 'complex questions' that was previously too intimidating for them to attempt and are now eager to embrace the challenge.
I have always been a high achiever throughout my schooling and have been to 8 different schools over different states and countries and have experienced different teaching styles.
I have received a number of high distinctions for Maths, physics , chemistry and technology through school and graduated with a band 6 in chemistry, band 5 in physics and very high marks in maths (I don't remember the band) giving me an ATAR of 93.
I was also school captain and received the NSW parliamentary award for youth leadership.
Aspen is an outstanding mathematician and communicator. I had the pleasure of teaching him in years 11 and 12.
Aspen is a talented individual whom is keen on sharing his knowledge and experience. I am a fellow tutor, and we have often discussed teaching strategies, our experiences and excitement for mathematics and science. Aspen is able to break down topics well and find areas needing improvement. He is a fun and inquisitive young man who can accelerate your learning.
Aspen's super helpful and has tutored me on multiple occasions. He takes all questions seriously, even ones you might have thought were silly. And he explains the problems and answers in ways that are easy to understand, no matter what level you are.
Aspen is a fine, young gentleman whose mathematical aptitude is clearly demonstrated in the way he teaches. His understanding of mathematical concepts is meritorious and is relayed effectively in a manner easy to understand. On top of this, his drive to always better himself is translated into his work, providing a voluminous example of a dedicated individual. Aspen would make a fantastic teacher for any student wishing to improve their mathematical abilities
Aspen and I became friends at school. He’s a top mate. I always tried to sit next to him in class cause he’d help me to the figure the answers that I had trouble with. He explains things well and is eager to help. And if he doesn’t know the answer he’ll know how to find it.
