I know every child learns differently, and sometimes students just need a little extra support and encouragement to feel confident again. I create fun, patient, and personalized lessons that help students strengthen their reading and math skills without feeling overwhelmed. My goal is to make learning enjoyable while giving parents peace of mind knowing their child is being supported in a positive and caring environment.

As an aspiring elementary school teacher and graduate of University of North Carolina at Greensboro, I strive to create a positive, patient, and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and growing academically. My teaching approach focuses on making learning engaging, interactive, and easy to understand by breaking skills down into smaller steps and using hands-on strategies, visuals, games, and real-life connections to support student understanding.
A typical tutoring session includes reviewing previous skills, introducing or practicing a targeted reading or math concept, guided practice together, and independent practice to help build confidence. I also like to include encouragement, positive feedback, and learning strategies that match each student’s individual learning style and pace.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my classroom experience working with elementary students through student teaching and field placements. As an Elementary Education graduate, I understand how to support different learners while creating lessons that are both educational and enjoyable. I focus not only on academic growth, but also on helping students build confidence in themselves as learners.
My lessons are designed for elementary school students who may need extra support, enrichment, homework help, or additional practice in reading, math, comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, problem-solving, and foundational academic skills.
