About Oğuzhan

Who am I? I'm Oguzhan who is Assoc. Prof. Dr. My mother language is Turkish. I have a master's and a Ph.D. degree in the field of Turkish education and I have 15 years of experience in this field. In addition, I have many articles and book chapters on how to teach Turkish. I live in Florida these days for a research project on children's books and immigration that I am studying at the University of Florida. Children's books, travel, football, and research are my interests.

About the lesson

Why Turkish? Turkey is an important power in its region with its developing network today. With its companies abroad, schools, investments, the number of international students it hosts, its ancient culture, cinema, and TV series industry, it is increasing its influence in the geography where it is located. This effect creates new cultural and economic opportunities not only for those living in Turkey but also for foreigners living in different countries. In this respect, learning Turkish is extremely important. By learning Turkish, you can make new connections, make economic gains, find a job in senior positions by studying in Turkey, get to know Turkish culture closely, listen to Turkish songs, and watch Turkish TV series and movies easily. If you want to be a part of this country and culture, we can do a trial lesson on your goals, level, and what you need to do. My Work Experience and the Methods I Will Use In addition to master's, Ph.D., and 15 years of work experience, I also have experience in teaching Turkish as a second language. I worked in Kazakhstan for a year and taught Turkish to Kazakh students. On the other hand, I also have experience in online language education since I learned English online similarly. I will use listening, speaking, reading, and writing materials according to your level, along with cognitive and communicative methods in my lessons. I will try to teach Turkish by trying to use children's books in my lessons for beginners. If you do not have a special purpose, I will organize my lessons to improve your listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills at the same time. I have a lot of material on this subject. I will design a different process for intermediate and advanced students based on their specific goals. My target audience is teenagers and adults. I think I will be more successful in teaching them Turkish. If you want to make new friends, make new connections, find a job, get to know Turkish culture better, study in Turkey and be a part of it, we can do a trial lesson on your level and what you need to do. Please remember that every success starts with a small step!
