About David
My name is David Espinoza. I am 26 years old and I just received my Associates degree in Mathematics from Chaffey Community College and I am hoping to receive a Bachelors degree sometime in the future. I have spent hours on end studying and reviewing math because I have a deep interest and passion for it. Throughout my time in college I developed a strong work ethic and discipline that I believe has made me very fit to be a tutor. For the past year I have also been working with a High School student who had many difficulties in math before we started working together. She and her parents have given me much positive feedback about my tutoring methods, which have resulted in this client receiving a higher grade in math than ever before, as well as an overall better comprehension of the material. I believe that my job as a tutor in not just so a student will receive higher grades, but to instill an interest and a deeper understanding of the material. On a side note, I am also a voracious reader of books, especially science fiction novels. I am also a musician and have played the drums in a few bands.

I have currently been tutoring a High School student who passed Algebra 1 with a 101.5% grade and will continue to tutor her next in Geometry. My tutoring methods typically involve rigorously helping to complete and review homework and concepts that the student struggles with, and also reviewing for exams. This could mean anything from giving worked examples, guiding the student through actual homework problems, and clearly defining and communicating concepts. Typically I let the student guide me as to what they feel they need the most help on. In other words, my tutoring sessions are specifically tailored for an individual student's difficulties. I tutor from K-12 and College Students. I am very passionate about teaching and helping other students. I set a very high standard on myself and my tutoring abilities and ultimately strive to help students not just attain better grades, but better understanding of the material.
