About Dean
I am an astronomer with over 40 years experience and have done just about every form of visual from the planets, Moon and Deepsky looking at things outside the Solar System through to imaging with Digital SLRs, phone cams etc. I have an endless enthusiasm for most of science with a wide complimentary knowledge of other disciplines. The mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be lit.

I believe in keeping learning fun and inspirational, not just learning by rote. Most people have some interest in things astronomy related and indeed spaceflight in general of which my knowledge is extensive. Learning when done well is a mind expanding experience and I love to generate the same level of enthusiasm as I experience.
