It's always great to get to know the student first and what areas that they most need to improve on. When this has been decided, then a methodical approach to improving the student's ability can be outlined, and then put into practise. I always like to make the lessons engaging by creating real-world examples so that the student can see the benefit from what they are learning, with the aim of increasing their engagement.
