About Harry

I have a personal interest in Physics and Mathematics which is why I have a degree in Aerospace engineering, a practical combination of both. I wish to inspire my students with the same level of enthusiasm as I do in STEM. I'm very happy to give advice about HSC and a career in STEM in general.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I strive to make sure my students understand the underlying concepts that are found in mathematics and physics. I believe that a solid conceptual understanding is more important than the spoon-fed teaching style that so many high school teachers adopt, so I try my best to explain every question that is asked, no matter how simple or advanced.

Qualifications:

- Graduated North Sydney Boy's High school (2018) (Rank 2 school in NSW in 2018)

- ATAR of 99.10 with band 6 in Mathematics Extension 1, Extension 2 and Physics.

- Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Aerospace Engineering) at the University of Sydney with First Class Honours

Experience:

- I have privately tutored many (over 10) selective and mainstream high school students for more than 5 years. I have taught in the subjects of HSC Mathematics Advanced, Extension 1 and Extension 2 as well as HSC Physics.

- I have also tutored Maths and Sciences at a certified tutoring centre, EduKingdom (Hornsby). I have worked there for almost 3 years and have taught students as young as year 4 and as old as year 12.

- I am the head of Physics at Insight Education (Chatswood) and have taught HSC Physics there for 2 years consecutively.

- I am experienced in teaching the new HSC Syllabus for Mathematics and Physics as well as Selective school and OC exam material

- I have resources and textbooks for the above HSC subjects that I integrate into my teaching

Perfect! Arrived and was courteous and aware of the environment. Whilst tutoring, he was patient and methodical. He took the time to explain every step that was needed and kept on referencing and using the previous concepts explained and how they were applied to the next aspect of the lesson. Harry was very friendly and easy to communicate with. His communication was clear and concise and took extra care to demonstrate the theory in action. He was able to effectively use the resources available and was able to teach from his own knowledge, rather than only using a textbook. Overall, he demonstrated a high level of competency and had a friendly and approachable attitude towards the lesson. Can highly recommend.
