About Franklin

I don't believe English has to be a source of frustration. Whether you are working hard without seeing the results you deserve, or you simply need an accountability partner for editing and structure, I can help.

I love to explore big ideas and how to articulate them with other people. Whether it be the philosophy of Euthyphro or the social dynamics in Black is the New White, I love engaging with texts that challenge my beliefs. If I am your tutor, I will work hard until you have that same love.

For many people, English is uninspiring and deflating. I don't think it has to be that way. Throughout my senior secondary education and into my university study I have refined my skills of essay writing, formal debate, and literature analysis, and I would love to help you gain these tools also.

About the lesson

- I aim to give students the tools and confidence they need to succeed

- After an initial meet, we will develop a plan to fit your needs
+ e.g. 6 lessons on how to write essays effectively and efficiently
+ e.g. 5 lessons on understanding how to analyse The Tempest

- I aim for lessons to go for 45 minutes, but I offer flexibility to accommodate your needs

- My relevant qualifications include:
+ 99.8 ATAR
+ Three years on state debating team
+ Dux of Year 10 English
+ Second highest awards in pre-tertiary English subjects both years of senior secondary education
+ Currently studying law and liberal arts

- My previous tutoring experience includes private piano lessons, debating coaching, and ensemble mentoring
