In my opinion, success in academics is far more than hard work. It's deliberate practice of correct learning techniques. Oftentimes students work mindlessly, without keenly understanding the fundamentals of what they are learning. That's why students that change their attitude towards learning in their final years rarely reach the scholastic pinnacle - their comprehension of the basics is muddled. I acknowledge this in my teaching by ensuring I discuss with students their approach to more complex problems, which enables me to recognise flaws in their logic and maximise their scholastic potential.
I am a Psychology student (Bachelor of Science) at the University of Melbourne. My previous experience tutoring involves teaching English to multiple students in Bologna, Italy during my exchange. I also assisted students whilst I was in high school. My greatest success was helping a student move from a C+ in Maths B (Maths Methods) to an A-.
What sets me apart from others is my drive and motivation to exceed. I am in the 1% who aims to improve their life in a deliberate way every single day, whether it be improving my charisma, my study routine or my physical health. Few young tutors possess such incredible dedication to self-improvement.
